Why Cornwall Air Ambulance?

Not only do we really look after our fundraisers, but every time you see the air ambulance in the sky you’ll know you’re helping keep it flying and saving lives. You may never meet our patients, their friends and families, but to them, your support will be priceless.

We help make your fundraising as easy as possible. We're always happy to have a chat through your plans and offer advice over a cuppa (we love our tea!).

We can supply fundraising materials like collection jars and banners, arrange street collections and you can use our community room to hold events.

You can even borrow ‘Hercules the Helicopter’ or 'Aircrew Andy', our air ambulance mascots, for your events - they really are quite eye-catching!

We arrange information evenings, training walks (usually to the pub!), social events and a group Facebook page, meaning a genuine team spirit forms long before the trek itself.

One of our Kilimanjaro trekkers said: “I will cherish so many things, but what stands out is being part of an amazing, supportive team. I feel blessed to have shared this once in a lifetime achievement with the Cornwall Air Ambulance team.”  This is a feeling that is shared by many of our challenge participants, the feeling they have taken part in a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Other Challenges

If none of the challenges above grab you, there's an endless choice of amazing challenges out there.

Unless you take part in a challenge organised through Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust, you will be taking part in an Open Challenge, where you will be part of a team alongside people raising money for all different charities. This is a great way to take part in the challenge of a lifetime and meet new people from across the country - and the world!

Just a few of the challenges on offer include trekking the Great Wall of China, Grand Canyon or Machu Picchu, cycling coast-to-coast in Costa Rica, sledding with huskys in Lapland, white-water rafting the Zambezi, trekking to Everest Base Camp or even ski-trekking to the North or South Pole!

To find out more about the various charity challenges available in aid of Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust, check out some of the challenge company websites below or call the fundraising team on 01637 889926 for a chat.
