Big Swim Cornwall 26 August 2012 |

|
The date for the third Big Swim Cornwall has now been confirmed as Sunday 26th August. The stunning one mile wild swim around Port Isaac’s dramatic coastline is quickly becoming a firm favourite with locals and visitors to Cornwall alike. After the success of last year the event now has several options for getting involved – including The Big Swim which has been split into two; a Serious Swim and a Not So Serious Swim, The Little Swim for the children and a Triathlon with a Cornish twist (Wild Swim, Run & Kayak). The day is full of entertainment from start to finish making it a perfect occasion for family friends and spectators. Enjoy our BBQ and bar on the platt, relax and listen to the music, or come and see the baby lobsters about to be released. The event will now extend into the evening with the first ever Port Isaac Music Festival to include the likes of Fishermen’s Friends and more!
We are delighted that the Cornwall Air Ambulance has been chosen as one of the beneficiaries of the proceeds from the event. Last year ‘sold out’ well before the day of the event and online registration is now open so register, grab your wetsuit and start training for one of Cornwall’s most beautiful outdoor swimming events. Please click here to go to the Big Swim Cornwall homepage and register or to find out more about the swim.
Don’t forget to contact us on [email protected] to let us know that you are taking part – we would love to hear about how your training is going and to maybe get a few photos of you in action on the day!
