FUN CYCLE RIDE SATURDAY 19TH APRIL
11/12/2007
In recognition of the outstanding work that the Cornwall Air Ambulance has made over the past 20 years in Conrwall, North Cornwall District Council is organising the Air Ambulance Sponsored Ride along the famous Camel Trail cycle network. All rides start in Bodmin at the Dragon Leisure Centre which is located near the Bodmin and Wenford Steam Railway. You can ride any part or all of the route. You may want to ride to Wadebridge and come back, or continue along the Camel Estuary to the famous historic harbour town of Padstow. Alternatively, you could complete the new extension to Wenfordbridge which takes in the magnificent granite landscape and passes through some wonderful woodland. Or if you are feeling energetic why not cycle the whole 18 miles - a 32 mile round trip! Whatever ride you choose the Camel Trail offers the ideal way to sample the delights of recreational cycling whilst taking in the stunning countryside and coast of North Cornwall. Details of the route can be found on: www.cornwalltouristboard.co.uk/documents/cwayleafletcamel.pdf www.ncdc.gov.uk/media.adobe/g/l/CamelTrailCode_1.pdf |
