It costs around £1.7 million a year to keep your air ambulance flying. We do not receive any funding from central government for our emergency missions so without generous  donations from  individuals like yourselves we would not be able to attend the 1000 incidents we do in a year. Your donation really will help to save lives in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and we are extremely grateful for any support you may be able to give. Please see below for different ways of donating.  

 Regular Giving 

 Regular giving is the most beneficial way of supporting the Cornwall Air Ambulance  as it enables us to budget and plan for the future more effectively. Making a regular monthly donation to Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust could not be easier!  

Simply click here to download a standing order form (the form is also available at all of our charity shops) and then return it to Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust, Charity Headquarters, Trevithick Downs, Newquay, TR8 4DY. We will write to you to thank you for your donation and confirm we have received your instructions and keep you updated with the work we do with our regular magazines 

Payroll Giving or Workplace Giving  

Is a great scheme for anyone who pays UK income tax and who wants to donate regularly. The scheme allows you to donate straight from your gross salary i.e. it is tax free. So for every  £1.00 you donate to the Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust through Payroll Giving it will actually only cost you 80p, and if you're a higher rate tax payer it will only cost you 60p. So because your donation is tax free a donation of £5 per month for example costs the basic rate tax payer £4.00. The taxman pays the rest! Speak to your employer to see if your company has already set up a Payroll Giving Scheme. If not direct them to the HM Revenue Customs website for details: www.hmrc.gov.uk/payrollgiving/index.htm. It really is simple for them to do and your regular donation can be up and running within a matter of weeks!

Single Donation    

No matter how big or small your donation is we really would welcome it as it all adds up and all goes towards keeping our helicopter flying!  

You can either pop into one of our charity shops and make a donation over the counter or you can send a cheque made payable to ‘Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust’ to Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust, Charity Headquarters, Trevithick Downs, Newquay, TR8 4DY. We will then send you a written confirmation that we have received your donation.

 Donations in lieu of gifts   

Do you have a cause for celebration? Is it your birthday/anniversary/wedding coming up? If so why not ask your friends, relations or colleagues to make a donation to Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust instead of buying you a present.  This not only avoids the embarrassment of receiving gifts that you may not want or need but enables you to celebrate your special event in the knowledge that you are helping to save lives across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. If that alone isn’t a reason for celebrating, we don’t know what is!

If you decide to organise a collection at your event or incorporate an element of fundraising into the mix then please do let us know – we can provide all sorts of promotional materials as well as collection boxes as well as some fundraising ideas to get the creative juices flowing….

Don’t forget to Gift Aid any donation you make!

Whenever you make a donation to Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust whether it is cash, cheque or an online payment, please remember to Gift Aid it! If you are a UK taxpayer, we can recover 25% in reclaimed tax to add to your gift. It doesn’t cost you a penny more but it means that your donation can make an even greater difference. To qualify for Gift Aid, what you pay in Income Tax or Capital Gains must at least equal the amount we claim in the tax year.
